Winter Feeding
The flock has access to shelter year ‘round but is self fed on pasture a distance from the barn in winter. This ensures adequate exercise for pregnant ewes and the hay waste adds beneficial organic matter to the soil. Ewes will sometimes elect to spend the night outdoors nestled next to their big round bales of hay.
